Are you getting a lot of annoying phone calls? If someone is calling you and hanging up, it makes you wonder who they are and what they want. Even if they don’t seem to want anything, getting repeated phone calls from a number you don’t know can be unnerving. You begin to think that something is going on. It can even make you think your spouse or lover is cheating on you. Or that one of your children is hiding something from you. Anytime someone keeps calling from the same number and hanging up it makes you feel like you are missing something – that there is something going on and you need to find out what it is. The good news is that you can use a reverse cell phone directory to find out who is calling.

If this is happening to you and you haven’t been able to get a response out of the person calling, here’s what you need to do. If they are calling from the same number all of the time, you can call your phone company and have them block calls from that number. That will stop them from calling, but it will not tell you who is on the other end of the phone. Plus, they might start calling from a different number, and you’ll have to go through the process all over again.

If you really want to find out who is calling before you have their number blocked, you will need to use a reverse cell phone directory. Cell phone companies keep their records private. This is so we do not get spammed by telemarketers calling all of our cell phones and using our paid minutes. Reverse phone directories pay the cell phone companies to access their records. Cell phone companies do not let anyone access their records unless they do so through a reverse directory service. So if you have tried to do a free cell phone directory search and did not come up with any information, this is why. The only way to find out who is calling from a cell phone is to get the information directly through the paid service.

Luckily, paid services are inexpensive. Plus you can put the number into the search and find out if there is information available before you even have to pay the fee. Really the money is nothing compared to the peace of mind you receive just by finding out who is calling. Then once you know, you can have the number blocked, or if the person is really harassing you, you can turn them into the authorities. And if you recognize the name of the person and find out that someone in your household is lying to you, then you finally know what is going on. No more late nights wondering what is happening. Just go ahead and use the reverse cell phone directory and end the restless nights.
